Christopher Huggins

Chief Executive Officer & Director

Mr. Huggins has over 25 years experience working with mining, technology, and capital equipment companies in management, business development and operational roles. His early career began working as a regional exploration geologist for Homestake Mining around the Eskay Creek, Snip Mine, Stewart and Dease Lake Camps. Over the past decade, Mr. Huggins developed and delivered innovative capital equipment and financial solutions for surface and underground mining operations across NWT and Yukon, managing accounts for Finning Canada. Mr. Huggins also serves on two public boards including serving as a director for Exploits Discovery Corp.  Mr. Huggins has been active, in recent years, in Canada’s Newfoundland & Labrador and has a BSc in Geology from the University of British Columbia.

Doris Tam

Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Tam has over 20 years of progressive finance experience across several publicly traded companies, ranging from financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, and system implementation and treasury. She started her professional career at PricewaterhouseCoopers and was most recently the Chief Accounting Officer at Halo Collective Inc., where she was responsible for financial reporting under IFRS. Prior to Halo Collective Inc., she was the Corporate Controller at Namaste Technologies Inc. Her previous experience also includes five years at Samuel, Son & Co., Limited and seven years at Nortel Networks Corporation. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto and is qualified as a Certified Public Accountant in the United States.

Chris Buchanan

Chief Geologist

Chris Buchanan is a professional geologist with over 24 years of mineral exploration, mining project evaluation, geological modeling, technical writing, and mine development experience throughout Newfoundland, Yukon, British Columbia, the Trans-Hudson orogenic belt, South America, Mexico, and Australia. He holds a Hons. B.Sc. (Geology) from the University of Waterloo and a M.Sc. (Geology) from Memorial University of Newfoundland.

His recent work has focused on structurally controlled gold-bearing quartz systems, unconformity and volcanic hosted uranium deposits, lead-zinc deposits, and copper-gold porphyry systems. He has held key roles with major and junior exploration companies and since 2004 he has worked as an independent consultant providing structural geology expertise and exploration program management services. Most recently he helped guide the PL gold deposit in Manitoba to a positive feasibility study.

Chris is a registered Professional Geologist with the Association of Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta and is registered to practice in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Shawn Ryan

Technical Advisor

Shawn has over 20 years of experience prospecting gold across the Yukon and has been rapidly expanding his prospecting in Canada’s Newfoundland. A global leader in his field, his prospecting and specialization on advanced soil work led to the discovery of the millions of gold ounces including the Golden Saddle & Arc, Coffee, and QV gold resources. This success has also been recognized with Shawn winning the 2011 PDAC Prospector of the Year Award, 2010 Spud Huestis Award and the 1998 Yukon Chamber of Mines Prospector of the Year Award. Shawn continues to be an active participant with his technical teams, constantly improving efficiencies with his methodological exploration techniques.
