The Quartz property consists of 146 claims covering 3,022 hectares of the Dawson Mining Division.  The property is located at the headwaters of Calder and Blanche creeks approximately 30 kilometres southeast of Dawson City, Yukon.  Good access is provided by several seasonal trails that lead from the Quartz Creek road onto the property.  The Quartz claims are adjacent to Klondike Gold Corp.’s Eldorado property where there is ongoing drilling at the Lone Star target1.  There are numerous large scale placer gold mining operations on Quartz Creek directly east of the property.

From 2010 to 2012 Taku completed airborne magnetic and radiometric surveys and soil geochemical sampling over the entire property.  The edge of a strong magnetic high was identified in the northwest corner of the property.  Weak to moderate gold-in-soil values were found adjacent to the magnetic high.

Recent Developments

In 2017 Taku completed detailed soil geochemical sampling adjacent to the magnetic high and did one trench.  No significant results were obtained from the trench.
